Aaire
Story
What Is Aaire Trust?
Aaire Trust is a private family trust created by foster and adoptive parents for their children with a long-term mission: to provide permanent housing, education support, and generational stability for children impacted by the foster care system.
We believe that no child should age out of care without a safe place to live, a path to education, and a realistic opportunity to build a stable future one child at a time.
How It Works
Aaire Trust purchases and improves residential properties as long-term rental assets. These properties are maintained by the Trust, with rental payments used to cover mortgages, insurance, taxes, and ongoing upgrades.
When a child connected to the Trust reaches adulthood and is ready to pursue higher education typically around age 21 they may move into a Trust-owned property near Western Illinois University (WIU) or another approved location.
During this period:
-
The individual occupies a Trust-owned home
-
If a mortgage remains on the property, the occupant pays reasonable rent
-
Rent is applied directly toward the mortgage, insurance, taxes, and upkeep
-
Housing costs are structured to remain affordable while the student focuses on completing their education
Once a property is fully paid off, housing terms may be adjusted under the Trust in accordance with its governing documents.
Path to Ownership
Under the Trust’s terms, the property may eventually be transferred to the individual once specific milestones are met—such as:
-
Completion of a college degree (and in some cases a Master’s degree)
-
Demonstrated responsibility and readiness for long-term homeownership
This structure is designed to support maturity, accountability, and long-term success not dependency.
Our Commitment
Our mission is simple, permanent, and non-negotiable:
-
Every child adopted into Aaire Trust will always have a home.
-
No child will face homelessness after foster care or adoption.
-
Education is protected—so careers, businesses, and independence can be built.
-
Every home serves as a foundation for generational wealth and stability.
Through the Trust, each individual has a clear path to ultimately inherit their own home creating lasting security and breaking the cycles of instability that too often affect children touched by the foster care system.
Our Mission
Aaire Trust exists to remove barriers to stability and opportunity.
We advocate for children impacted by foster care by ensuring access to:
-
Safe and stable housing
-
Higher education opportunities
-
Long-term financial and life stability
This is how we create lasting impact—through housing, education, and responsible pathways to ownership.
